Privacy notice
What we collect, why we hold it, who we share it with, and how to ask us to delete it.
Last updated: September 2026.
ATO Brickwork & Building is a building contractor based in Weybridge, Surrey, carrying out brickwork, plastering and rendering, roofing, loft conversions and extensions. This notice explains what personal data we collect, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We are the data controller for the information described here.
What we collect
- If you enquire through this website: your name, town or postcode, email address, phone number, the type of work you selected, and whatever you type into the message box.
- If we quote for your job: the address of the property, access arrangements, and the measurements, notes and photographs taken at the site visit.
- If you become a customer: the correspondence and records relating to the works, including any drawings, Building Control correspondence and party wall notices.
Why we hold it, and our lawful basis
- To answer your enquiry and quote for the work. We rely on your consent and on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries.
- To carry out the work. Performance of a contract with you, or our legitimate interest in running the business.
- To meet legal duties. Building Regulations and health and safety law require records of works to be kept, and the Party Wall etc. Act 1996 requires notices and awards to be retained.
Who we share it with
Only with the people who need it to get your job done — our email provider, our website host, the form service that delivers messages sent from this site, your local authority Building Control or an approved inspector, structural engineers and architects where drawings are needed, and any subcontractor working on your job. We do not sell your data and we do not pass it to third parties for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not become jobs are kept only as long as they are useful, and deleted on request. Records relating to completed works are kept for as long as we may be liable for them and as long as you might need us to produce the paperwork — a Building Regulations completion certificate is something you will want when you come to sell.
Your rights
Under the UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, and ask for it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent at any time where consent is what we relied on.
To exercise any of these, email ato.building@yahoo.com or call 07717 147123. We will respond within one month.
Photographs of our work
We may ask to photograph work we have carried out and use it on this website or in quotations. We will ask you first, the photographs will not identify your address, and you can say no or change your mind later.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
