What we do
From a repointed wall to a full extension
Five things, all done by the same team — which is why the extension, the roof that goes on it and the plastering inside are one job rather than three.
Brickwork
New walls, garden walls, repointing and repairs, and brickwork that matches the house it is joining.
What this coversPlastering & rendering
Skimming, re-boarding and float-and-set inside; sand-and-cement and modern through-coloured render outside.
What this coversRoofing
Pitched and flat roofs — new roofs, re-roofs and the repairs that stop a small leak becoming a big bill.
What this coversLoft conversions
Rooflight, dormer and hip-to-gable conversions that turn dead space into the biggest room in the house.
What this coversExtensions
Single and double-storey extensions, side returns and wrap-arounds, built from footings to final coat of plaster.
What this coversWhy ATO
The work is only as good as the joint you can’t see
Anyone can lay a brick. What decides whether an extension still looks right in five years is the match, the mortar, the flashing and the detailing — the parts nobody photographs.
Why us
What you get
One team, start to finish
Brickwork, roofing, rendering, plastering, lofts and extensions are all things we do — so the extension and the roof that goes on it are one job, not three subcontractors and a phone chain.
Local to Weybridge
Based in Weybridge and working across Surrey and south-west London, so the site visit is easy to arrange and we are not billing you for a long drive every morning.
A written quote before any work
You get a site visit and a written quote first, so you know what the job covers and what it costs before anything starts. Quoting is free.
Built to be signed off
Extensions and lofts are built to Building Regulations and inspected as they go. That is what protects you when you come to sell.
How a job runs
From first call to handover
No surprises: you know what is happening, what it costs and who is turning up.
Call or message
Tell us roughly what you have in mind and where you are. A photo or two helps for repairs.
Site visit
We come and look, measure up, and talk through what is possible and what it is likely to cost.
Written quote
A written quotation setting out what is included. No charge, no obligation.
Drawings and approvals
For extensions and lofts: planning where needed, Building Regulations always, party wall notices where a neighbour shares a wall.
The build
Groundwork, structure, roof, render and plaster, with the inspector visiting at the stages that need it.
Finish and handover
Snagging walked round together, the site cleared, and the completion paperwork handed over.

Questions
Questions we get asked
The rest are on the contact page.
Do I need planning permission for an extension?
Often not. Many single-storey rear extensions fall under permitted development, which means no planning application, though there are size limits and they are tighter for flats, listed buildings and conservation areas. Double-storey extensions and side extensions more often need an application. We will tell you which applies to your house at the site visit. Every extension needs Building Regulations approval regardless.
Does a loft conversion need planning permission?
Rooflight conversions and most rear dormers are permitted development on houses, within volume limits. Anything on the front roof slope, anything on a flat, and anything in a conservation area usually needs an application. All loft conversions need Building Regulations approval, and if you share a wall with a neighbour the Party Wall Act applies.
Do you do small jobs, like repointing or a leaking roof?
Yes. Repointing, brick repairs, render patches, re-skimming a room and roof repairs are a large part of what we do. Small jobs are how most people first use us.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Weybridge and work across Surrey and south-west London — Walton, Esher, Cobham, Addlestone, Chertsey, Woking and out to Guildford one way, Kingston, Richmond and Wimbledon the other. If you are not sure, ask; the full list is on the homepage.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. We visit, measure and give you a written quote free of charge. You are under no obligation to go ahead.
Want a price for your job?
Tell us what you have in mind and roughly where you are. We will come and look, then send you a written quote. It costs nothing to ask.
